Introduction to CNC Machining
The CNC milling machine simulator is a multimedia application specifically designed to introduce novice mechanical engineering professionals to the fundamental principles of programming milling operations using standard (ISO) G-code. Its primary objective is to perform syntactic analysis (parsing) of control program codes.
This application offers a range of essential features, including the ability to edit control program codes for milling machines, perform operations with control program files, configure geometric parameters of the cutting tool, execute control program blocks continuously or step-by-step, visualize tool movements in three-dimensional machine workspaces, provide a simplified representation of the machined part's surface, calculate processing modes, and offer a convenient quick reference guide for utilizing G-code.
However, there are certain limitations to the application. It should be noted that the accuracy of cutting surface modeling is relatively low. Additionally, the application does not support the use of polygonal geometry as a workpiece and provides a simplified model of machine tooling elements.
